My Bio
I am terrible at writing positive things about myself, but I'll do my best here. At the moment, I'm an aspiring writer, looking to make a career for myself out of it. I started my Deviant Art Gallery to post memes and write my POTO/Tess of the d'Urbervilles fanfic. Now I use it to show the development of my art, which has come a long way since 2012. I did take Art for GCSEs, but my teachers were less than supportive and killed my love of the subject. With no confidence in drawing, I did the unthinkable - TRACED. I think everyone has a tracing phase when they're not confident until they realise the original picture won't do anymore. Plus my conscience got at me for plagiarising. Anyhoo, I started working on human faces, and I've been working since then to create my own style and draw my own things, even painting. I mostly use acrylic paints. I don't have anything against digital art, but I do art to get away from screens, so I don't do it myself.
Most of my stuff here is either recreations of my old art, or designs of the characters I'm writing about. Please don't hesitate to leave a comment if you see something you like. I'm afraid I don't do free commissions, as I wouldn't feel right taking trade away from professional artists.

My New Inkitt Account

Hi all. I have recently created an account on Inkitt, where I am putting chapters of 'The Red Slayer' in order to reach more people and get a wider audience. Hopefully, it will be popular enough to be taken on by the higher ups. I've been having a lot of trouble with traditional publishing when I was trying to get my period piece signed with an agency/publishing house. I'm not doing the period piece anymore. Not for a while anyway. My work was stagnating and I couldn't bear to do a thousandth rewrite of the story. Spring Cleaning

I've deleted almost all the memes I posted in my gallery due to a change of style in my work. I joined Deviant Art for a chance to bring my fanfiction to the wider world because writing it for myself wasn't enough anymore. I started with a few memes reflecting my then-obsession for Les Mis and Phantom, but looking back at them recently has made me cringe because the jokes I made were dated and I really don't think they're all that funny.
Also, what I put in my gallery has changed significantly since I started doing my own art. You will still find some traces I did way back at the start of the decade, but for the most part, it's my own work.

Just So Everyone Knows...

While I appreciate the feedback I receive whenever I put my art up, I have noticed that I've been receiving requests to do certain commissions. I am flattered that someone thinks my art is worthy enough that they want a recreation of it in their homes, however I must lay some ground rules so we are all on the same page.
:bulletred: I have only done one request so far, and that was mainly because I wanted to recreate an old picture anyway, but that will be the only time I will do a commission for free unless I'm doing some scenic art thing at my local theatre.
